Yes. We must trust the Spirit to change us not try and press some changes of our own and never try and evaluate ourselves for whether or not the right changes or sufficient changes are happening.
Imagine a seed looking at itself. The stored nutrition starts to dwindle, the shell becomes brittle and cracks both seem to be signs of the seeds decay of it failing and coming to its end and mightbbe quite distressing to the seed. But they are actually signs of the plant's growth, that soon the plant will germinate and the seed be no more. If we would consider our telos, our destiny, we might judge ourselves quite differently, or even admit that the process which has begun in us is beyond our understanding and throw ourselves on the Gardener's wisdom and goodness.
