Very nice. I have been thinking lately that an important part of the church's renewal is in recovering the Bible stories. Every year at this time the kids go from VBS to VBS from one uninspired(in the lesser common usage of uninspired) telling of stories to another. Isn't it a shame that we tell the stories of the Bible so poorly that sticking dried beans in between two paper plates to make a tambourine is more interesting?

We should all look into ways to tell the Bible stories in a way that is first faithful and expository such that the point of the text is the point of the story, second such that the Triune God is the main and most dynamic character, and third with the realisation that no one will ever understand the divine story without first understanding the human story. How much different would this summer be if the teachers at Bible schools were inspired by the stories that they are teaching, if David and Samson's stories were told as a father tells his son about Grandpa's heroism in the war?

This is a good telling of Samson. For those interested in Samson's story Milton's Samson Agonistes is one of the best.
