Thank you so much for posting this clip of Alistair Begg. I will return to it again and again. I’m glad I’m not the only one who needs to hear the message of the Cross every day, every hour, every minute. The temptations to self-effort and the attendant pride, despair, and/or coldness of heart are constant. But greater is He that is in us, than he that is in the world. Thank God for anointed preachers who keep our eyes on Jesus and all He has done for sinners like us. Thank you for this wonderful blog that I just discovered. May God continue to bless your ministry!
Couldn't help but laugh aloud with Beth when I read her comment! I do understand, Beth. I am grateful for the much good I received in nearly two decades in a Calvinistic church, and grateful to have understood from the scriptures that God loves everyone (and four out of five TULIP points are wrong).
Brother Alistair Begg's point in the snippet above is well made and well taken!
In what way?
When did he say it and to who?
Oh, how I need to remember every moment of every day, we are only saved because of Jesus' blood and nothing we could ever do. Thank you for posting.
Help me lord to preach the gospel to myself...effectively.

He is adorable. My only carry over from the dreadful days of calvin-ism. Thanks.
I, too, have really enjoyed interacting with Alistair Begg's stuff. Glad you enjoyed this one. I return to this sermon snippet quite often.
what do you mean ... dreadful days...?
