H. A. Ironside was a dispensationalists and so not sound.

You're not wrong about Ironside and his affinity for Dispensationalism, almost in extremes at times. But he's not wrong in this instance. The ongoing, "unfinished" work of Christ as our Priest is the remarkable news of his intercession for us. Where would we be without that?

We are all not sound. Not that I have anything nice to say about dispensationalism, but the theology of sinful men is pretty much all garbage.

This is a good piece Brad. Only thing I would add is that one day His work will be finished. There is a final and complete Sabbath coming, hopefully soon.

That's unsound. All theology is not garbage. Dispensationalism is. There's no reason to cite a dispensationalists for an observation that's readily apparent from the text of scripture.

No, it really is. We have this thing where 'sin makes you stupid' which 'makes us stupid'(those are the very scriptural technical terms). The things that seem right to us are frequently nonsense and the truth is offensive to our brains.

Dispensationalism is nonsense, but my call is to preach the Gospel to sinners. If you are called to be the citation police then do it, but my guess is that you were called to something quite different and are being Johnny Law on your own time. Maybe remember that not all followers of Jesus follow with Peter, James, and John, or me or you. The Lord has already made the Way exactly as narrow as He wants it. Let's not make it any wider or any narrower than He did. It's Brad's thing I'm pretty sure he doesn't need our approval for which guys he cites. I have enjoyed and been edified by Anglicans, Lutherans, and Romanists. Even a Baptist now and then.

Dispensationalism is nonsense. My theology isn't. We are not equal.

I do remember hearing something about the 'foolishness of the message preached' but my memory isn't what it used to be.
