Is there such a thing as too much talk about the grace of God? The short answer is no. A longer answer is no, of course not — not a chance. Grace is the hymn of heaven, the anthem that never dies out, and the song that never gets old, no matter how many times we hear it. It is also the most unique feature the Christian faith has to offer the rest of humanity. As David Zahl says in his latest book, The Big Relief, “Grace is the most important, most urgent, and most radical contribution Christianity has to make to the life of the world — to your life and mine!”1 When the gospel is proclaimed, the gift of grace is extended to every bedraggled and worn-out sinner who continually falls flat on their face after promising it would be different this time around. It’s the word that promises that even though the righteous stumble seven times, they will rise again (Prov. 24:16).
To that end, I was delighted to appear on a recent episode of The Reclamation Podcast as a guest co-host alongside Brad Kafer to chat with author, speaker, and director of Mockingbird Ministries, David Zahl, to talk about his book and the message of grace that grants unfettered relief from all the suffocating pressures of life. We who are overloaded with stresses and strains are invited to find rest for our weary bones in the arms of Jesus, who graciously enfolds us in his relieving, reconciling love. Brad and I were thrilled to chat with Dave, as we explored the evergreen message that frees us from guilt, sin, shame, and the impossible expectations in which we are submerged. Grace, we insist, doesn’t reside on the periphery of the Christian faith — it’s embedded into the very fabric of its message.
I know you’ll be blessed by this hour-long conversation. It was a pleasure to sit down with Brad and Dave, and riff on the good news that redeems, consoles, and unburdens every sinner who’s weighed down with a load of cares. Happy listening!
Grace and peace to you.

Petfect timing, especially those comments on identity. ALL thanks to you and the Lord Jesus
