Very nice piece. In his work on the parable Capon suggests that the Master had given up on getting anything from His debtors, that they were such deadbeats that the fact of getting 60 cents on the dollar back was impressive to Him. I like your take on it, but perhaps we should also say that following the coin, the sheep, and the son, these are "lost debtors". The Master is pleased to have them found and brought back into relation with Him on any terms at all.
