In this edition of the Ministry Minded Podcast, you’re welcomed back to “Pastor Brad’s Corner” as I reflect on last weekend’s ordination service for my friend, Caleb Sparrow. The significance of that moment is heightened in light of what he and his family have endured over the last few years which cannot be described as anything less than tragedy heaped upon tragedy. Yet, even still he and his wife never lost faith. They were never made to abandon the call God has so clearly placed upon their lives for the furtherance of his kingdom. Caleb’s ordination, then, took on more cathartic meaning as it was seen, from my perspective at least, as the recognition of God’s inimitable faithfulness for them as they embark on a life of ministerial service. For that, I am so grateful. The experience of this ordination service is one I will cherish for many years to come. Also in this episode, I share some more recommended reading as well as some brief thoughts on the movie Tenet and why faith in the “mechanics of the world” is so defeating. Enjoy!

I’m Brad Gray and I serve as the Senior Pastor of Stonington Baptist Church in Paxinos, Pennsylvania, where I live with my wife Natalie, daughter Lydia, and son Braxton. Besides pastoring, I spend most of my time writing, reading, and ministering in many more ways. I am resolved to faithfully and fervently propagate the gospel of “grace upon grace” for the weary and the worn out. It is my sincerest desire to live and minister all “for the sake of the Name.” (3 Jn 1:7) So long as Christ is exalted, that is enough.
