#59: On the Christ-centered voice of Hebrews and the Scripture’s revelation of mercy with Chad Bird.
The Book of Hebrews has often been referred to as “the most Old Testament book of the New Testament.” It possesses intricate ties to the Old Testament covenantal practices and rites, making it nigh impossible to understand without an accompanying understanding of ancient Israel’s sacrificial system. It is a homiletical book that seeks to drive home in the soul of the reader Jesus’s superiority in the gospel. In this edition of the Ministry Minded Podcast, I am honored to have Chad Bird back to talk about the Book of Hebrews, its exemplary significance in the life of a believer and its unparalleled Christ-centered voice. We also discuss the web-like connections that are apparent throughout all of Scripture, and how they are all fastened to Christ, revealing his mercy.
