In this episode of the Ministry Minded Podcast, I’m thrilled to be joined once again by Nick Lannon to take a deep-dive in his newly published book, Life Is Impossible, and how that’s actually really good news. In this concise collect of essays on life and theology, Nick has identified the key predicament with which one day we all must be confronted: that is, we are not the heroes. We aren’t the saviors. That this concept of salvation isn’t just a difficulty we can overcome through shear force of will, it’s actually a categorical impossibility that requires divine intervention. Such is the good news of grace, that where we’re confronted with the impossible, Jesus says, “It is finished.”
