#110: Thoughts on “The Chosen,” the only Word that matters, and the God who gets in the water with us.

In this episode of the Ministry Minded Podcast, I share some personal and ministerial updates for the week, as well as confess my affections for the newest Christian phenomenon, a.k.a., The Chosen. The surprise of the show is its affecting portrait of God who made himself like us in order to redeem us and snatch from the oblivion of sin. Such is what the moment of Jesus’s baptism is meant to demonstrate and describe — namely, that the God of all things got into the water with sinners in order to save them from all sin. May you be blessed by these reflections.

Notes.

I’m Brad Gray and I serve as the Senior Pastor of Stonington Baptist Church in Paxinos, Pennsylvania, where I live with my wife Natalie, daughter Lydia, son Braxton, and soon-to-be-born daughter Bailey. Besides pastoring, I spend most of my time writing, reading, and ministering in many more ways. I am resolved to faithfully and fervently propagate the gospel of “grace upon grace” for the weary and the worn out. It is my sincerest desire to live and minister all “for the sake of the Name” (3 John 1:7). So long as Christ is exalted, that is enough.
